Tasting Notes 1: Joaqu?? Hidalgo-93-The 2020 Carmenere Kai from Pencahue in the Aconcagua Valley was aged for 22 months in French oak barrels, 60% of them new. Dark purple in hue. The aromas include jalapeno and ash with hints of white pepper and sweet spice over a cigar box bed. Indulgent and intense in the mouth, the mild, juicy, refreshing acidity enhances the expansive, concentrated flow. A ripe, prolix wine from a warm year.
