A lovely, limpid blood red colour, with an intensely aromatic nose, combining curry spices and garrigue herbs, with notes of spiced orange, forest floor and leather, all wrapped around a core of summer fruits. The palate is quite powerful and mouth-filling, with an array of redcurrant, cherry and plum fruit flavours, again with a hint of spiced orange. Ripe, tea-like tannins combine with juicy acidity and a hint of licorice, making for a delightfully tangy, sweet-sour style, and a long, mouth-watering finish. A really enjoyable, classic Languedoc red wine.
A blend of 65% Grenache, 17.5% Syrah, 17.5% Carignan grapes.
A separate vat is allocated to each different vineyard and grape varietal during the fermentation. Gentle extraction in order to obtain soft tanins is guiding the fermentation process. After fermentation, ageing is taking 12 to 24 months depending of the vintage.
