Tasting Notes 1: Antonio Galloni-93-96-The 2013 Vosne-Romanee Les Malconsorts is huge on the palate, with notable power and structure to burn. The flavors are bold in this decidedly intense Malconsorts. Pomegranate, red cherry and spice are some of the notes that take center stage as this dramatic Burgundy opens up in the glass. The Malconsorts was the last wine in the cellar to finish its malo. Although still a bit raw and unformed, the 2013 is super-impressive today.
Tasting Notes 2: Stephen Tanzer-92+-Bright, saturated medium red. Captivating nose combines deep smoky minerality and sexy soil tones. Round on entry, then quite backward in the middle and much less showy than the Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Murgers. Today the wine's strong saline, smoky minerality is keeping the fruit in the background. Most impressive on the ripely tannic, very long finish. This will need considerable cellaring.
Tasting Notes 3: Sumptuous nose followed by slightly tight and present acidity. Fine but without the weight of the 2014s. Just slightly scrawny within the Malconsorts context.
