Intense ruby red colour. Beautiful, complex notes of fresh violet followed by elegant red roses, griotte cherry, ripe red raspberries and blackberries, Vanilla along light essence of tobacco, finished in a delicate hint of oak.
It is an elegant medium to full body, dry, smooth, warm, and rounded wine, with great acidity along low tannins, a very pleasant sensation throughout, very well balanced, persistent finish . This is the wine which has been preserved the winemaking family?s secret traditions since 1946. The vineyards of their own estate "Boschetto Vecchio" are situated in the area of Nizza Monferrato at an altitude of 200/280mMaceration in contact with the skins for 10-12 days, racking and slow fermentation of the young wine for 2-3 weeks. The wine has left to mature in 60 hl oak casks for about 18 months, then it stays in the bottle for at least eight months before being shipped off for sale.
