- Tasting Notes 1: Antonio Galloni-92-The 2008 Barolo Cerretta is all about textural depth and finesse. Layers of fruit caress the palate in this mid-weight, easygoing Barolo. Crushed flowers, tobacco and dried cherries linger on the pointed finish. This is a relatively soft, open, accessible Barolo for the year. In 2008 Cerretta was hit by hail, and that contributes to the wine's medium-bodied personality. Still, this is a very pretty wine for the year.
- Tasting Notes 2: Stephen Tanzer-92+-Bright red. More reticent nose hints at cherry and menthol. Deep and juicy but youthfully imploded; showing more soil complexity than the La Serra but closed, even medicinal, today. Finishes longer and more tannic. As tightly wound as it is at present, it's not at all hard. Lay this classically styled Barolo down.

- Tasting Notes 4: Barolo - La Morra. Mid ruby with broad orange-tinged rim. Touch herbaceous? Second sample seems quite closed with elegant, almost feather-light, fine strawberry fruit and lots of grainy tannin. Wait. (WS)
