CELLAR INFORMATION Cinsault and Grenache are perfect partners and natural yeasts completed a partially whole-bunch co-fermentation. Extractions are light with punch-downs done early during fermentation. Tinta Barocca is vinified separately and blended together into large old foudres allowing the flavours to marry and wine to mature. Bottled after 11 months with only a light filtration and minimum use of sulphites. VINEYARD INFORMATION Cinsault and Grenache are sourced from vineyards growing on well drained, granite soils. Cinsault was the work-horse grape and widely planted, but of the rare Grenache only a few old vineyards remain. Tinta Barocca has proven itself in the Swartland already for decades as a robust variety. Here it is sourced from a warmer clay–rich vineyard.
