Made from the original 1969 vines from their own “West Block” clones, the 2015 Pinot Noir West Block has a medium to deep ruby-purple color and an incredible fragrance of roses and potpourri, with underlying raspberry leaves, pomegranate, wild thyme and fallen leaves notes. Wow—talk about a solid frame—wonderfully firm, fine tannins and a wicked backbone of acid support and intensely perfumed flavors, finishing with epic persistence. Put it away for 2-4 years and drink it over the next 15+ years.
