Launched in 2018, The Character of Islay Whisky Company tells the story of a range of distinctively smoky and flavoursome whiskies with Islay at their heart. As an independent bottler with no distillery story to tell, each character expression is informed in some way by the legends and tales told of Islay. Every story is intriguing enough to draw you in, but only to remind you that the most important story of all will always be your own.
Aerolite Lyndsay, a 10-year-old Islay single malt, is their first expression. A deliciously peated and approachable expression that was recently crowned Category Winner for Islay Single Malt 12 Years and Under at the World Whiskies Awards 2020.
