Located just behind the new Teeling whiskey distillery is the historic Blackpitts area of Dublin City. Triple distilled from matured barely dried over peat fires and then matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sauternes French wine casks produces a truly distinctive taste profile unique in the world of whiskey.
A cask strength follow-up of the delightful Blackpitts Peated Single Malt Irish whiskey, this edition was double distilled from heavily peated malted barley and then aged in bourbon barrels to preserve all that smoky flavour. It was then bottled at a cask strength of 56.5% ABV. A huge, peaty treat from Ireland.
