Full of dark but vibrant aromas of strawberry, raspberry, cherry fruit and subtle black pepper spice from the ageing in oak barrels, along with an impressive juicy & luscious structure on the palate with ripe, rounded, and soft tannins. Pure Pinot Noir grown from their own vineyards that are over 40 years old and located on the side of the hill of Vergy, which has a similar geology as the hill of Corton. Will age well until 2028. Made by Gevrey-Chambertin producer Ch芒teau de Laborde, the Cuv茅e H is an excellent example of regional level Burgundy. The grapes are hand-picked and 100% destemmed after sorting. Pre-fermentation maceration (12掳C) for 3 days. Fermentation in temperature controlled vats with pumping-over and punching of the cap twice a day at the beginning. Ageing Free-run wine and press wine are aged separately, in oak barrels (30% new oak). Complete malolactic fermentation. Bottling is made after a very light filtration, with a minimal amount of sulfites.
