Dark Chocolate VSOP is made by infusing Criollo Cocoa nibs (arguably the most prestigious cocoa variety in the world) into VSOP Cognac and further blended with VSOP and XO Cognac before being sweetened just enough to balance the flavours, without losing the heady aroma and dark seductiveness of Criollo within this spirituous offering.
Tasting Notes:Nose:脗 Fruity aromas at first, with grapes and baked apple coming through plus floral hints of honeysuckle before rich chocolate starts to emerge.
Taste:脗 The chocolate coats the mouth, leaving a rich smooth mouthfeel and plenty of creamy cocoa flavour. There芒??s still plenty of juicy fruit flavours too, with more grape and apple along with Morello cherries.
Finish:脗 Those chocolate and cherry flavours linger on, leaving rich, creamy Black Forest Gateaux notes along with more baked apple fruitiness which lasts and lasts.
