2009 Viña Koyle Auma, Los Lingues, Colchagua Valley

Sold Out

An extraordinarily mouth-filling wine from the Alto Clochagua region, comprising 33% Malbec, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Carmenere, 14% Syrah and 7% Petit Verdot. Each variety was taken from selected, low yielding parcels and vinified and then aged for 24 months in French oak separately, before being blended and aged for a further 9 months in an egg shaped tank. This has huge concentration and ripeness, with layers of complexity from the five varieties and the oak. The finish is remarkably ripe and long. Delicious now, but eminently age-worthy.
