2014 Gevrey-Chambertin, Les Corbeaux, 1er Cru, Dom. Sérafin Père & Fils

Sold Out

Fine, elegant purple; as always, this isn’t as dark as some cuvées. Bright red cherry mingles with some raspberry notes; the wine is structured, with a tad of oak tannin, and good length. This is – as ever – a refined and sensitive Gevrey. Though we still have the pleasure of tasting with Christian Sérafin, it is now his niece, Frédérique who is solely responsible for winemaking. Christian describes 2014 as being all about elegance and balance, with neither too much acidity nor tannin. The Sérafin wines always repay patience.
