2015 Langhe Nebbiolo, Trediberri, La Morra, Piedmont

Sold Out

The Oberto family’s Langhe Nebbiolo has certainly put on a bit of weight in recent years, thanks to ageing vines in their La Morra Berri vineyard but also due to the addition of 20 percent fruit from the notable, and older-vine, Capalot vineyard. Vinified in cement, it’s delightfully fresh, delicate and full of crunchy, cassis appeal; it’s got a darker and fleshy, brambly fruit heart (thanks Capalot!). Very much alive and kicking, this everyday-drinking Nebbiolo has a depth of flavour: du fond, as the French would say.
