Dense dark purple colour. Youthful nose of sweet kirsch, cassis and ripe berries with a slight herbal spiciness. Dense palate, slightly austere with a firm tannic bite, some herbal spice flavours, crushed dark berries, a hint of wood and rather good length. A classic style built for ageing. Vinification is usually taking place in 80% new oak barrels for about 1 year, resulting in an elegant and seductive wine of finesse and great length, showing really good concentration and fruitiness.
