This Chardonnay - sourced from vineyards on the Essex coast - has a lovely perfumed nose of orchard fruit and tropical aromas – peach and mango – with a toasty creaminess on account of a mixture of ageing in stainless steel and oak. The palate is round and textural, with layers of fruit and just a hint of oak. Reminiscent of a Mâconnais, it is attractive, balanced and all-too-easy by the glass. A crisp, complex framework makes this a wonderful pairing to light pasta dishes.
