In the glass, it reveals a dense purple color. This single varietal Italian wine shows wonderfully expressive notes of mulberries, blackberries, blackcurrants and blueberries in the glass. These are joined by hints of cocoa bean, cinnamon and toasted barrique. On the palate, it opens wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. On the tongue, this punchy red wine is characterized by an immensely dense and fleshy texture. Due to its lively fruit acidity, it reveals itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful red wine finally inspires with good length. Once again, hints of blackberry and mulberry show. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by sandstone and sand are added.
The basis for the powerful wine are grapes from the Nero d'Avola variety. In Sicily, the vines of this wine grow on soils of sand, sandstone and weathered rock. After the manual harvest, the grapes reach the press house in the fastest way. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for 6 months in American barriques.
